Scouting dies. I hear such voices from different sides- from former and current instructors. Whether it is internal malcontene in us? Such a stereotypical, Polish mentality? Or maybe the ZHP will actually turn into a bunch of kids who will not know what camp life tastes like?

Let's set one thing- Scouting is no longer as it used to be. We do not wash the dishes in the river, We do not sleep in Sienniki, We often go to camp bases with access to running water and toilet. We have mobile phones, computers, Tablets and electricity in tents (no, at least usually the staff has). We are still monitoring where our scouts are.
There could be many differences, which separate us from the image of scouting as such, initiated over 100 years ago. More than one article has been created on the extinct idea. However, we forget about one important thing:

Scouting does not change "someone's fault", because the "guilt" itself is nowhere to be found here. It assumes, that something bad is happening, which is total nonsense. We are here, where we are because it's getting better!
The standard of people of people changed radically after the breakthrough in '1989. Access to technology, Economic development, The improvement of living conditions showed us, that we don't have to queue, to try to buy meat. We don't have to wash in the river, to be neat at the camp. That I don't have to worry about the stench from the latrine*, When I want to settle my needs. That it could be better.
How scouting would look like, If you completely prohibit mobile phones at collections and camps? If we did not allow you to photograph smartphones, because "in my time we had only one camera, and the clichés were expensive ". Would it be more ... full? Real? Appropriate?
How scouting would look like, If we were still rinsing the tethers with water and sand from the river. Would it do, that our scouts would be more hard? What would we gain with this?
Resisting progress, This denying reality.
New scouting has come. We may disagree with him, But we have to accept. Things that once were on the agenda, Now they are almost unacceptable. We go not with the times, How people like to describe it. We follow the requirements of society, Because it decides to be or not be scouting as a youth organization. As long as the world changes, We also have to take care of it, to be up to date. Otherwise, In a few years we will be an archaic curiosity.

Don't worry. The present times do not limit us so much to scouting.. Contrary! They open a lot of possibilities to us, our parents did not have. Build a wood and line obstacle course with the team! You will teach work scouts, knots, safety rules and, If you do it with this health and safety, This and even first aid with cuts! But also try to insert VR glasses with an application reversing the vision upside down and transfer the impression above the level above! And right after that, Make a collection about the harmfulness of keeping the phone screen near your face too long.

If you don't teach scouts to use technology, Nobody will do it. It is not a secret, that most computer science classes have nothing to do with the current realities of life on the Internet, and Cyberbullying classes are, in my opinion, mockery. Support school and parents in youth education, which, which can be seen very often, jest zagubiona we współczesnym świecie. To nie jest tak, that children are not doing well. We didn't teach them to deal with.
The attack of the current world on the "contemporary youth" results from fear of the unknown. Before that, that present 10 Latek knows more about programming than an IT specialist from his school. We stop keeping up with development, but let's not stop the youth, Because it is the one that will live longer in a changed world, Other from ours.

Education as a common part of the "former" and "current" scouting.
Do you know why "that" scouting was so catchy? Because it was preparing a citizen to live in a "local" world.
One thing is certain. We still want to raise in the spirit of old ideas: patriotism, service, brotherhood and friendship. They will never get old. A way of this upbringing- yes. The goal does not sanctify the funds. Instead of complaining about it, that the youth sits forever at the computer and is cherlawa- Enter physical and sports activities as a mandatory part of the collection. Scouting is a great educational organization. Opens many roads, allows you to find yourself, makes, that we are better. It will be different. That's for sure. But is it better?
