Choosing a tent

The tent protects against wind and rain, we feel cozy and warm inside. Outer tent covering, called the tropics, it must be made of a strong and impregnated material, that can withstand even heavy rains and gusty winds. The flysheet must be properly stretched. The right tent – otherwise a bedroom – may be less tight than the tropics; must be made of airy, but providing good thermal insulation of the material, and provided with ventilation holes. A floor made of impregnated material is sewn from the bottom, which protects the tent from getting wet.

Many different types of tents are known, the structure of most of them, however, is based on the structure of a typical triangular tent. It rises on masts, and it is attached to the ground with herring and pins threaded with special pins. Stability is ensured by guy lines, that stretch the walls of the bedroom, herring attached to the ground. A bedroom, that is the tent proper, is often covered with impregnated tropics.

Triangular tent
This most popular type of tent is suitable for camping almost anywhere – from the mountain slopes to the garden next to the house. The front mast is high enough, to be able to freely enter and leave the tent. Impregnated flysheet covers the bedroom. Stretch it well, to keep the walls tight. The full height zipper allows you to close the vestibule at night, and open it when cooking, for example. Adjustable length tensioning cables ensure the stability of the masts and the appropriate tension of the bedroom walls. A small vestibule can be used as a kitchen and storage for backpacks. The rear mast is shorter than the front mast, making the back of the tent, usually placed against the wind, resists him less
The flysheet is stretched over the bedroom and secured to the ground with herrings tightening the loops of wide and strong rubber. In a warm climate, you can do without a bedroom, outside of winter, of course. A heavily impregnated floor insulates the inside of the tent from moisture.

We meet many types of tents, but they are all variations of a few basic kinds. 0 this, which tent you choose, should decide the purpose of your trip, terrain and climatic conditions. You should also consider the dimensions of the tent and its weight, remembering, that if you are not traveling by car, you will have to carry it on your back. Admittedly, you can sleep comfortably in the single room, but she is often bothered by the cold inside her. A double tent is definitely cozier. Therefore, when deciding on a small tent, it is better to choose two.

Two-person tent
The tapered wedge triangular double tent is lightweight, it also does not take up much space in the backpack, however, it provides a comfortable rest for two people and a place for cooking and storing food under the tropics.

Three-person tent
There is plenty of space in this dome-shaped tent, both for storing gear, and for the convenience of three people. Three flexible masts make, that its structure is very resistant to gusty winds.

Four-person tent
Four people exactly fill the inside of this tent. In such a tent, attention should be paid to proper ventilation and to the arrangement of equipment of individual people.
